Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to support billing operations for a legal organization in Lincoln, Nebraska. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage invoicing accurately, follow up on outstanding balances, and maintain organized billing records within a computerized billing environment. The role requires strong attention to detail, consistency in handling statements, and the ability to work effectively with billing systems and collection-related tasks. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and distribute accurate invoices and billing statements in a timely manner. u2022 Review billing information for completeness and correct discrepancies before processing. u2022 Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue balances through appropriate collection activities. u2022 Maintain up-to-date customer and account records within the billing system. u2022 Process routine billing transactions using computerized tools and internal software. u2022 Respond to billing-related questions and provide clear support regarding charges and account status. u2022 Reconcile billing data to help ensure financial records remain accurate and current. Requirements u2022 Experience handling billing duties in an administrative or accounting support role. u2022 Working knowledge of invoice preparation, account follow-up, and statement processing. u2022 Ability to use computerized billing systems with accuracy and efficiency. u2022 Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies. u2022 Comfortable managing collection-related tasks with strong attention to detail. u2022 Proficiency with standard computer applications and data entry. u2022 Effective written and verbal communication skills. u2022 Ability to stay organized while managing recurring billing deadlines.
