RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain the Calypso Development environments, including: o Installation and maintenance of new Calypso and SG software releases, patches, upgrades, etc… o Requesting database dumps/loads in support of the environments and scripted tests o Process requests from Business Analysts regarding configuration of the Calypso Environments o Maintain internal Calypso project web-site o Document the Calypso environments o Coordinate with internal DBA’s and SA’s on the installation and configuration of development, test, QA and production environments. • Write scripts to automate the installation and maintenance of the Calypso Environments • Interface with GLS to facilitate the monitoring of the health of the Calypso environments. • Utilize Java to Maintain and Create Calypso ‘loaders’, which are responsible for the Migration and Conversion of Static Data into Calypso TECHNICAL SKILLS Required/Must have: • Java, JDBC, Java Web Start, JDK 1.4 • UNIX, NT, SQL, Scripting Languages, structured OO programming language • Sybase DBMS experience Desired/Plus: • Middleware oriented messaging systems (Tibco RV, IBM MQSeries) • Experience/knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, HTML, FTP, HTTP • Experience utilizing a trading system vendor-based Object Oriented Toolkit/API and Data Model (ie Calypso, Summit, Infinity) BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE Required/Must have: COMPETENCIES Required/Must have: • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Dedicated to excellent client service • Self-motivated • Initiative taker • Organized • Structured approach to problem solving • High degree of accuracy and precision in work • Team player PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE Required/Must have: • 1-3 years maintaining systems in a Unix environment.
