Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with experience in school-based settings. This contract-to-hire position is located in Ribera, NM, serving students ages 3-21 across multiple school buildings, including elementary, middle, and high schools. Responsibilities include providing occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 41 students. Sessions will be scheduled to meet the individual needs of children ranging from early childhood through young adulthood. You will collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement therapeutic interventions that support students’ educational goals and functional skills. Key Details: Location: Ribera, NM (travel between school sites will be required) Schedule: Approximately 21 hours per week with a possible increase to 28 hours Daily hours: 8:00 am start or when services are scheduled; services conclude by 3:00 pm or upon completion Contract period: ASAP start through mid-June, with potential for Extended School Year (ESY) support Caseload: Around 41 students ages 3-21 School settings: Elementary, middle, and high schools serving diverse student populations Desired Qualifications: Licensed or certified OT or COTA with current credentials Experience working within school environments providing therapy services Ability to manage a caseload and tailor interventions for developmental and educational needs Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as needed This role offers an opportunity to deliver impactful therapy services supporting student success in a dynamic educational environment.
