Responsibilities:Accounts PayableProcess vendor invoices and subcontractor pay applications in Spectrum ViewpointVerify coding, approvals, and proper job cost allocationMatch invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentationPrepare and process weekly check runs and electronic paymentsMaintain vendor records and resolve vendor inquiriesAccounts ReceivableGenerate and distribute customer invoices based on project progress and contract termsPost customer payments and reconcile AR balancesMonitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections when neededTrack retainage and progress billing related to construction projectsReconcile AR reports and assist with month-end closingGeneral Accounting SupportAssist with job cost reporting and project accounting functionsMaintain organized financial documentation and recordsSupport month-end close proceduresWork closely with project managers and accounting staff regarding project billing and expensesAssist with audits or financial reporting as neededRequirements:3+ years of accounting experience (AP/AR)Construction industry accounting experience requiredExperience using Spectrum Viewpoint strongly preferredUnderstanding of job costing, progress billing, and retainageStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a small accounting teamProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
