This role supports adults in custody (AIC) by ensuring accurate medication dispensing, inventory control, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Services are provided under a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret and verify prescription orders from medical and dental providersEnter prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system and generate labelsSelect, prepare, and dispense medications manually or using pharmacy automation systemsMaintain medication and supply inventory; identify low stock and coordinate ordering with Chief/Staff PharmacistUtilize unit-dose repackaging automation to prepare medications for distribution to other BOP sitesPackage prescriptions for remote pharmacy services and overnight courier shipmentProcess and restock returned medications from remote pharmacy sitesEnsure full compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulationsSafeguard sensitive and security-related information at all timesRequired QualificationsCurrent Pharmacist license/certification (any U.S. state licensure accepted)Ability to meet all BOP credentialing and background requirementsStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyKnowledge of professional pharmacy standards and regulationsIND123
