Key responsibilities include: + Risk Leadership + Design and implement transaction risk strategies, policies, and controls that translate risk appetite into actionable decisioning and measurable business outcomes. + Partner with business and product teams to embed risk strategies directly into platforms, workflows, and customer journeys. + Actively shape strategy tradeoffs across loss, customer experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory expectations. + Advanced End to End Problem Solving + Lead handsu2011on resolution of complex, crossu2011functional risk problems by diagnosing root causes and designing scalable, durable solutions. + Own initiatives from strategy formulation through build, rollout, validation, and postu2011implementation performance tuning. + Drive coordinated execution across analytics, technology, operations, and governance partners. + Portfolio Quality Monitoring + Continuously analyze portfolio performance, customer behavior, fraud patterns, and policy outcomes to refine strategies in production. + Calibrate rules, models, thresholds, and segmentation to reduce losses, minimize false positives/negatives, and close control gaps. + Translate insights into concrete strategy changes, pilots, and measurable improvements. + Analytics & Infrastructure Advancement + Build and operationalize risk strategies supporting trillionu2011dollar transaction volumes, with emphasis on automation, scalability, and realu2011time decisioning. + Evaluate, test, and integrate new internal and external data sources into risk strategies and decision frameworks. + Conduct targeted deepu2011dive analyses to support strategic decisions, issue resolution, and investment prioritization. + Talent Development + Manage, mentor, and develop analytical and risk professionals. + Set priorities, allocate resources, and foster a strong risk culture focused on accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement. + Stakeholder Partnership + Collaborate with internal partners including Audit, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and external agencies as required. + Support a strong control environment aligned with regulatory expectations and internal governance standards. + Strong leadership in the area of Model Governance. Required Qualifications + 7+ years of Credit Risk experience , or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education. + 3+ years of management or leadership experience , including people leadership, initiative leadership, or senioru2011level influence across teams. Desired Qualifications + Demonstrated experience leading complex risk initiatives with enterpriseu2011level impact. + Deep experience in advanced analytics , statistical and predictive modeling, and largeu2011scale data analysis in credit, fraud, or transaction risk domains. + Strong proficiency with SAS, SQL, Python , and data visualization or reporting tools such as Tableau . + Experience with model governance , analytical decisioning, and realu2011time or operational risk use cases. + Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights that influence senior and executive decisionu2011making. + Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, statistics, engineering, data science, finance). + Strong attention to detail, data quality, and control discipline in regulated environments.
