Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations for a Contract position in Hopewell, Virginia. This role is ideal for someone who can keep schedules organized, maintain accurate records, and provide responsive administrative support in a fast-paced rental and leasing environment. The successful candidate will help coordinate documentation, update systems and reports, and communicate professionally with staff and participants. Responsibilities: u2022 Coordinate calendars, arrange appointments, and provide day-to-day administrative support to office staff. u2022 Maintain both digital and paper records, ensuring participant files are complete, organized, and handled according to program guidelines. u2022 Enter and update information in Yardi or comparable housing management software with a high degree of accuracy. u2022 Assist with document preparation and processing related to recertifications, interim changes, and routine correspondence. u2022 Monitor reports, tracking logs, and workflow status to help keep departmental activities on schedule. u2022 Answer inbound calls, greet visitors, and support front-desk and receptionist functions as needed. u2022 Perform general office tasks such as filing, data verification, and document distribution to support efficient operations. Requirements u2022 Previous experience in administrative support, office coordination, or a similar clerical role. u2022 Background in affordable housing, property management, rental services, or related program administration is strongly preferred. u2022 Working knowledge of Yardi or similar property or housing software is highly desirable. u2022 Strong data entry skills with consistent attention to accuracy and detail. u2022 Ability to manage multiple assignments, stay organized, and follow established procedures carefully. u2022 Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with a detail-focused customer service approach. u2022 Experience handling inbound calls, reception duties, and general administrative office responsibilities.
