Description We are looking for an Inventory Clerk to support shipping, receiving, and inventory operations for a growing organization in Fort Mill, South Carolina. This contract position offers the potential for a permanent role and is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by keeping materials, records, and outbound orders accurate and on schedule. In this role, you will help maintain efficient warehouse workflows, support internal teams, and contribute to a reliable customer experience through careful handling of inventory and shipments. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage inbound deliveries and outbound shipments, ensuring materials are received, processed, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time. u2022 Maintain inventory accuracy by updating records, tracking item movement, and documenting serial numbers and related shipment details. u2022 Perform regular cycle counts and assist with broader physical inventory reviews to identify discrepancies and support corrective action. u2022 Organize storage areas so products are easy to locate, properly labeled, and handled in a safe and efficient manner. u2022 Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal team members to resolve shipping issues, confirm delivery activity, and keep orders moving smoothly. u2022 Prepare shipment documentation and verify that outgoing packages meet company standards for accuracy, presentation, and completeness. u2022 Work closely with sales and other internal stakeholders to identify potential order concerns early and help prevent customer service issues. u2022 Contribute to process improvements by documenting workflows, recommending efficiency gains, and supporting updates within inventory and order management systems. Requirements u2022 Prior experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse or logistics support role. u2022 Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inventory records and shipment documentation. u2022 Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 70 lbs on a regular basis. u2022 Clear communication skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation partners. u2022 Comfort using inventory, order tracking, or asset management software in a daily work environment. u2022 Experience with Salesforce or other inventory platforms such as Fishbowl, NetSuite, inFlow, or comparable systems is preferred. u2022 Ability to learn product information quickly and apply that knowledge to order accuracy and operational support.
