It provides student with an opportunity to apply their developing knowledge and skills in engineering, architecture, sustainability and/or project management. Students gain a better appreciation for the pressures that affect decision-making in todays healthcare environment and are able to identity additional skills they will need to better prepare them for a rewarding career in engineering, facilities operations and construction.Job Responsibilities:Work with staff operations, sustainability and project managers on a variety of technical assignmentsAssist Operations managers on compliance surveys, rounding and maintenance validationPerform engineering and economic calculationsReport any discrepancies or inconsistencies in data and/or reports to management timely. Work with Operations and project managers on inspections, equipment and other data collection, analysis and documentation.Adhere to compliance and departmental policies and procedures including compliance with 100% of HIPAA requirement, required.Work independently, take initiative and think criticallyWork collaboratively with a variety of departments within NYULMC and NYUMC vendorsAssist with providing constructive feedback, and developing training tools and policy and proceduresEducation:Degree Type: Bachelors degree- Engineering or science related discipline progress towardsMinimum Experience: 0Skills: Communication Category: Strength Required/Preferred: Required Language: EnglishMinimum Qualifications:Education: completion of freshman level engineering or architecture course of study (or equivalent).
