Come join our dynamic team!What You Will Learn:The Picking Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the facility, including office and warehouse operations, customer relations, information technology, quality, and security. In addition, this role is accountable for achieving company objectives and productivity standards, maintaining budget objectives, and overall responsibility formanaging/leading staff.Job Duties:Operations:Develop and direct all staff to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation andutilizationof the facilityOversee all distribution services, including receiving, storing, shipping, order fulfillment, and handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are metOversee job assignments and labor schedules.Plan long-range labor needs based on sales forecasts and input from managementFocus on continuous improvement and make recommendations to senior management on programs to improve operationsDevelop a spaceutilizationplan to meet prescribed cost and service standardsMonitor the space layout plan to ensure it continues to meet company standardsDevelop and implement an effective product locator system and update as necessary. Perform special projects/tasks as assignedLabor Management:Responsible to hire, train/develop, motivate, discipline, and terminate staff Direct the operations of warehouse staff to achieve prescribed objectivesDevelop andmaintaina productive work team by creating programs for hiring, training, and professional developmentMatch the skill and background of personnel to the workrequired.Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to supervise, counsel, and discipline associatesEnsure consistent guidelines are used for the performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminationsEquipment/Safety:Ensure that procedures are in place for the efficient operation andutilizationof all warehouse equipmentDirect programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment, and propertyProvide safety instruction to personnel as neededReport all work-related injuriesimmediatelyProvide immediate medical attention to injured employees as necessaryEnsure compliance withappropriate governmentregulationsQuality:Ensure standards are met and report quality variancesRelationships - Customers:Continually maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all internal/external customersAudit operation to ensure service standards are being metMeet with customers to discuss performance against KPIsEstablish customer relations training programs for all front-line personnelInventory Management:Ensure current andaccurateinventory control for all productsInformation Technology:Ensure the creation of the necessary warehouse information systems to meet companyobjectivesandfacilitatethe efficient operations of the warehouseEnsure that the necessary warehouse computer software and hardware are providedRemain knowledgeableregardingchanges in hardware and software technologySecurity:Ensure the security of the facility, its environment, employees, and contentsConduct regular instruction in good security practicesWhat WeAre LookingFor:Required Qualifications:Collegedegreerequired.Five to Seven yearsof experiencein a distribution environment. Strong Project Management Skills. Excellent analytical Skills. Proficiencyin Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.A comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations is necessary.
