Description :BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented CEI Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to verify contractor work, materials, and traffic control on active TxDOT projects to ensure full compliance with plans and specifications.What You'll Be Doing:Monitor on-site construction activitiesPerform field sampling and testing of component materials in accordance with the construction contractInspect materials and completed work in accordance with client’s scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions)Inspect traffic control devices and equipment; report deficiencies to ensure compliance with standardsMaintain detailed, accurate records of daily operations and significant eventsPrepare inspection reportsParticipate in the development of job safety practices and observe general job safety practicesAdhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaignsResponsible for performing assignments in assisting Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties. Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progressAvailable to work daytime, nighttime, and/or weekend shifts as requiredEnsure timely completion of time sheets and expense reportsTake ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goalsRequired Qualifications:High school graduate or equivalent plus two (2) years experience in construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection, or an Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering degree (requires certificate) having the ability to earn the required qualifications and certifications within one year.Valid Driver’s License and a clear driving recordMust have or be able to obtain within 12 months some or all of the following certifications, as determined by job assignments: TxDOT Hot Mix Asphalt Specialist Certification (Level 1A / Level 1B), , ACI certification Strength, ACI Certification Grade 1, Materials Analyst Specialist Certification (SB101 / SB102), Qualified Compliance Inspector of Stormwater (QCIS)Possesses excellent analytical, technical, and communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency in full suite of Microsoft office programs and Adobe AcrobatAble to read and interpret project drawings and specificationsMaintains a positive attitude and collaborative spiritMust be able to lift up to 50lbsPosition requires walking/standing for extensive periods of timePreferred Qualifications:TxDOT ExperienceSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
