Job Details Description Position S ummary: The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to perform installations, trouble- shoot issues, maintain and repair equipment and fixtures. Assist machine operators with mechanical set-up and operation of production machines. These duties include equipment assembly, pneumatic and hydraulic installation, machining and modifying parts, equipment debug, and safety feature installation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities : Trouble-shoot and debug various types of processing and packaging machines Perform maintenance requirements on machinery and equipment Utilize blueprints and sketches as well as verbal instruction to process assembly and building. Communicate with supervisor regarding technical information Use measuring devices and inspections tools efficiently Maintain an understanding of tolerances and applications Installation of pneumatic and hydraulic components from schematics Perform skilled machining and modify parts as needed for repairs Operate a wide variety of machine tools throughout the maintenance shop Install and alignment including rigging and erecting all types of equipment safely Understand and apply welding applications and skills; Mig welding, stick weld and oxy acet. Accurately complete proper documentation, time recording and materials logging in CMM system Perform building and grounds maintenance Perform all required testing before putting machines and/or equipment into service to ensure the safe operation Must be willing to continue education and training to ensure up to date knowledge of machinery and equipment Perform preventive maintenance programs for equipment, systems and facility. Specify and communicate parts and supplies needed to complete projects Work using proper Lockout/Tagout procedures and wear proper PPE Maintain good housekeeping and hazard free work area according to safety rules, processes and procedures Other duties as assigned Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, (future course work may be required) Required 2 year degree from an accredited institution or equivalent knowledge from a comparable industry Experience 3-5 yearsHave a basic understanding of pneumatics and air valvesMust have the ability to do basic layout work, drill holes and machine slots to specified tolerances.Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints for the building , machines and equipmentSoft skills (interpersonal skills, team oriented)Must have the ability to prioritize projects and a strong sense of urgencyMust be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writingProficient Microsoft Suites and familiarity with Maximo systemMust have the ability to problem solve This is a full-time position with an excellent benefit package on second shift 3:00 -11:00 pm M-F.
