You will manage the flow of information, finances, and care plans, acting as a steady hand during emotional and high-pressure situations.WhatYou’llDoClient Advocacy:Navigate complex financial discussions and insurance claims with transparency and empathy.Finances: You will check hospitalized patient’s charges from the prior shift, create estimates for incoming patients,submitinsurancepre-approvals/claims,and provide financial updates to clients who have pets in the munication/Collaboration:You will help bridge the gapbetween specialists, support staff, and clients-triaging callsand providing updates to clients as necessary, youwillassistreception/the client with completingintake ofpaperwork for a prompt check-in process.Medical Support:You will be asked tocomplete our med clerk trainingprocess to obtain a WA state med clerk licensetoassistwithfilling prescription medications as terpreting medical documents into medical records for charge capture and complete record keepingIn critical situations, you mayoccasionallybe asked toassistduringCPRPatient Interaction:You may occasionallyassistin the gentle handling of dogs and cats when the medical team needs an extra hand.WhatWe’reLooking ForExperience:2+ years in a veterinary setting preferred (reception, kennel, orassisting).Experience in finance, insurance, or medical reception is highly preferred.Technical Savvy:Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and quick tolearnnew veterinary software.Examples of software used:VitusVet, Instinct,Vetsource,TrupanionPortal, Microsoft Outlook,Cornerstone, etc.Emotional Intelligence:Comfortable working around sick, injured, or deceased pets, and able to support grieving families with discretion.Strong Multi-tasker:A master of multitasking with strong time-management skills.Why BluePearl?Our passion is pets.
