Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Facilities & Maintenance Manager. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Using CAD, plans facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulationsReviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costsInspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedulesDevelops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codesSchedules, designs, coordinates and implements facilities and environmental projects with support from EMSS Project ManagersDetermines project requirements and coordinates with internal staff and outside consultants to ensure projects are completed in accordance with contract Participates in conceptualization of complex designs & design modificationsServes as lead on project team for functional disciplineDevelops and perform simple to semi-complex design analysis including verification of estimatesInteracts with external design firms and contractors as well internal customers and department leadershipMonitors preventive maintenance operations and impacts for a telecommunications station.Monitors corrective maintenance operations and impacts for a telecommunications station.Provides department leadership monthly reports on preventive and corrective maintenance metrics.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:•Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors•Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action•Solid ability to build productive internal/external working relationships•Creative, innovative responsibilities requiring advanced decision-making skills •Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments•May provide work direction to other employees; lacks authority to discipline or reward•Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues•Solid ability of consistently & successfully completing engineering & design for projects between $100,000 and $500,000 and/or multiple projects simultaneously which are similar in complexity to this range•Solid knowledge of design & drafting standards•Solid knowledge of life safety, building codes, corporate environmental, safety, and health policies & procedures, & security •Organizational skills•Competent in the use of AutoCAD to produce engineering & design drawings •Proactive problem solving skills•Solid ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handles more complex assignments •Solid ability to show initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment and professionally executes projects with little direction•This is the intermediate level in a field of specialization#CJ1 Target salary range: USD $88, - USD $97,;This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
