Work Flexibility: OnsiteStryker is looking for a Senior Staff Electrical Design Engineer to join our Neurosurgical Power Module Development team. In this role, you will apply sound engineering practices to design and develop new technologies used in this role, you will define and lead the electrical architecture, mentor engineers across the team, and drive electrical development from concept through verification, manufacturing transfer, and global product launch. Staying close to our customers and collecting valuable insights into product performance and features will be critical to success.You will play a key role in strengthening the electrical engineering discipline within the team by building technical capability, leading and guiding design decisions, and collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary engineering organization to deliver exceptional next-generation products.What You Will DoDefine and maintainsystem-level electrical architecture, ensuring alignment across hardware, software, and product interfacesProvidetechnical direction, mentorship, and design oversight to electrical engineers across the teamIdentify andproactively mitigate technical risks across the electrical subsystemMentor others as a business unit expert on the usage of industry standards, including design requirements and test strategies per applicable regulationsIndependently design and develop various electronic components including schematic and layout of circuit boards and wire harnessesDevelop, review, and execute electrical system test methods using the appropriate equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers)Lead creation and refinement of technical design documentation including drawings, design descriptions, requirements, and stackup calculationsInterface withmanufacturers to develop manufacturing test specificationsWork cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success, both leading and influencing other leaders on the teamDeliver high quality results with passion, energy and drive to meet business prioritiesWhat You NeedMinimum (Required Qualifications):Bachelor's degree in EE or related discipline & 4+ years of work experience.Demonstrated schematic design, PCBA layout, and circuit modeling competency.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience leading electrical development on complex medical devices or similar regulated productsAdvanced understanding of the design of complex components and sub-systemsAbility to apply advanced circuit and electrical system test methodsAdvanced understanding of manufacturing and testing methodsAbility to apply standard technologies used in industryAbility to perform complex electrical stack-upsUnderstanding of statistical methodsAdvanced knowledge of sub-system, system, and environmental interactionUnited States of America Pay Ranges:USN: $102,600 - $171,000 USD AnnualTravel Percentage: 10%Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
