This role is highly customeru2011facing and combines fleet management, vendor coordination, and operational oversight to ensure safety, compliance, and cost efficiency. The Fleet Operations Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while managing a fleet of approximately 1,500 vehicles across multiple geographies, including Midland, TX; Pecos, TX; and Carlsbad, NM. This role reports to senior leadership and works closely with corporate operations. Key Responsibilities + Oversee fleet operations, safety, and regulatory compliance in accordance with company standards + Manage the full vehicle lifecycle, including acquisition, maintenance, inspections, repairs, and disposal + Serve as the primary contact for drivers, vendors, and internal partners + Coordinate with maintenance providers and vendors to ensure timely service and cost control + Track inventory, optimize operating costs, and implement preventive maintenance strategies + Ensure compliance with DOT, MVR, and company safety policies + Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet productivity and service quality + Provide dayu2011tou2011day account and customer support for a large enterprise client Required Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent (Bacheloru2019s degree in business or a related field preferred) + 5+ years of experience managing vehicle fleets, including repair, maintenance, and logistics + 2u20135 years of customer service, vendor management, or client account support experience, preferably in a B2B environment + Strong knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance processes, and vendor coordination + Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) + Ability to be on your feet and active for extended periods (up to 8 hours) + Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays + Valid driveru2019s license with the ability to pass an MVR check Niceu2011tou2011Have Skills + Fleet vendor management experience + Operations or logistics background + Excel data entry and reporting skills + Client support or customer engagement experience Work Environment + Fully onsite at a client location in Midland, TX, with responsibility for supporting multiple regional fleet locations + Fastu2011paced, operational environment with frequent interaction across teams and vendors Compliance Requirements + background check required + Drug test required (including adu2011hoc testing during assignment) + Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check Interview Process + One virtual interview with senior leadership + Topics include operational experience, customer service scenarios, Excel/data entry experience, and availability Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midland, TX.
