Job Title: Maintenance Technician I Job Description The Maintenance Technician I performs preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on processing equipment, bottle filling machines, and plastic blow molding equipment in a high-volume production environment. This role focuses on mechanical troubleshooting with some light electrical work, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Responsibilities + Perform preventative maintenance on processing equipment, bottle filling machines, and plastic blow molding equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. + Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and restore equipment to safe and efficient operating condition. + Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including identifying root causes such as failed sensors and understanding how these failures affect machine performance. + Perform light electrical troubleshooting, including changing motors and wiring as needed under appropriate safety guidelines. + Use MIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel components; apply TIG welding skills if available. + Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems to maintain and repair associated equipment. + Service and maintain centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, ensuring reliable operation. + Safely operate hand tools such as grinders and drills, as well as forklifts and related equipment, to support maintenance tasks. + Comply with OSHA health and safety rules and follow all site-specific safety procedures and guidelines. + Support packaging and filling operations by maintaining packaging equipment, fillers, and related mechanical systems. + Perform mechanical troubleshooting across various production lines, including bottling and blow molding equipment. + Assist with general facility tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, and organizing work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment. + Collaborate with team members across departments to support juice extraction, processing, filling, and plastics operations as needed. + Complete other maintenance-related duties as assigned to support continuous and efficient production. Essential Skills + 1u20132 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a production environment. + Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues on production equipment. + Experience with preventative maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting on industrial machinery. + Ability to perform light electrical troubleshooting, including changing motors and working with wiring. + Proficiency with MIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel components. + Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting. + Knowledge of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps and their maintenance.
