Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support legal matters for a FULLY REMOTE Contract position with our client who is based in Purchase, New York. This role focuses on case organization, document review, and preparation for mediation and settlement activity across a general practice environment. The ideal candidate brings prior paralegal experience, exercises sound judgment with confidential information, and works effectively under direction while managing multiple priorities. Responsibilities: u2022 Assemble and prepare documentation needed for mediation sessions and settlement discussions, ensuring materials are complete and well organized. u2022 Examine discovery records carefully and sort supporting documents so attorneys can access relevant evidence efficiently. u2022 Provide day-to-day assistance with case preparation, including maintaining files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating legal documents. u2022 Support attorneys with administrative and legal tasks as assigned to help move matters forward in a timely manner. u2022 Organize case information within case management tools and maintain accurate, up-to-date records for active matters. u2022 Help compile exhibits, summaries, and supporting materials for litigation-related proceedings and attorney review. Requirements u2022 At least 2 years of paralegal experience, preferably within a general practice legal setting. u2022 Working knowledge of discovery processes, civil litigation, and trial preparation activities. u2022 Ability to follow instructions closely, prioritize assignments, and complete work efficiently. u2022 Strong discretion and professionalism when handling confidential or sensitive legal matters. u2022 Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines at once. u2022 Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with attorneys and legal staff. u2022 Experience using case management software and other legal support tools is preferred. u2022 Familiarity with family law or discrimination-related matters, including EEOC cases, is an asset.
