Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Administrative Director to lead the operational and revenue cycle management of the Faculty Practice Group (FPG) for Mount Sinai at NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst and NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of practice operations, including revenue cycle management, billing, credentialing, and strategic planning. The Administrative Director partners closely with physician leadership and finance to drive performance, ensure compliance, and support the continued growth and success of a multi-specialty academic practice. Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree required; masteru2019s degree preferred (Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field) + Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare administration, preferably in a multi-specialty or academic medical group + Experience in physician billing, revenue cycle management, and third-party reimbursement + Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including CMS guidelines + Expertise in revenue cycle operations, coding, and compliance + Excellent analytical, financial reporting, and critical thinking skills + Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities + Experience with EHR (EPIC) and practice management systems preferred + Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite skill required Compensation Statement The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $127,044.00 - $190,565.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. Non-Bargaining Unit, A90E - FPG - EHC, Elmhurst Hospital Center Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy + Partner with senior leadership (FPG Physician Leadership, Senior Associate Dean for Elmhurst Affairs, and CFO/Finance leadership) to develop and implement strategic initiatives for the Faculty Practice Group + Drive organizational development, process improvement, and operational efficiency + Serve as a key liaison between physicians, administration, and external partners Revenue Cycle & Financial Oversight + Oversee all aspects of the professional billing and revenue cycle, including charge capture, coding, collections, and vendor management + Monitor and improve key performance metrics such as days in A/R, denial rates, and reimbursement trends + Develop and maintain reporting systems to track revenue and operational performance + Review and update fee schedules, encounter forms, and billing procedures Compliance & Contracting + Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including CMS and billing guidelines + Support negotiation and management of managed care and third-party payer contracts + Establish and enforce billing and collection policies of Mount Sinai Services and NYC Health + Hospitals Credentialing & Enrollment + Oversee provider credentialing and enrollment with all government and third-party payers + Ensure timely onboarding and maintenance of provider participation status Team Leadership & Development + Hire, supervise, and evaluate administrative and operational staff + Provide leadership to billing, coding, compliance, and credentialing teams + Support staff training, professional development, and educational programs Stakeholder Engagement + Collaborate with physician leaders and members while representing the Faculty Practice Group on committees + Maintain strong relationships with internal departments, vendors, and external partners + Function as liaison with external billing companies and regulatory entities About Us Strength through Unity and Inclusion The Mount Sinai Health System is committed to fostering an environment where everyone can contribute to excellence.
