Job Title: Production Supervisor Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our 1st shift operations. The role requires a commitment of 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. The Production Supervisor will work from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, arriving 30 minutes early and staying 30 minutes late to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities + Supervise a team of 25-30 employees including operators, material handlers, team leads, and mold setters. + Demonstrate effective leadership and common sense in managing production activities. + Utilize ERP systems, particularly SAP, to monitor key performance indicators such as production numbers, scrap rates, and inventory checks. + Ensure safety and assembly processes are followed according to lean manufacturing principles. + Drive continuous process improvements and maintain high safety standards. Essential Skills + Minimum of 3 years experience in a Tier 1 or 2 supervisory role involving training and performance tracking. + Proficiency in ERP systems for managing scrap, production numbers, and inventory. Work Environment The work environment includes a molding area with 500 to 1,500-ton injection mold and foam presses, as well as an assembly area for assembling plastics and metals into full containers. The shop is well-maintained and clean, providing a safe and efficient workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orion, MI.
