Based on this roleu2019s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in NYC. As a Data Collection Validator, you will make an impact by supporting research collections with participants designed to validate the engineering approach for augmented & virtual reality-enabled products. You will ensure compliance with security protocols, validate participant information, and review lab readiness to guarantee smooth and secure data collection sessions. In this role, you will also gather feedback, document issues, and provide input to AR/VR product teams that will be used in design strategies and engineering approaches. You will be a valued member of the Cognizant team and work collaboratively with the Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality (AR/VR) team, stakeholders, and other teams. In this role, you will: + Validate participant IDs and enforce security protocols (e.g., no recording devices, weapons). + Print and collect temporary badges, escort participants, and ensure a professional experience. + Conduct pre-checks to confirm lab equipment functionality and maintain asset security post-session. + Ensure labs are neat, secure, and ready for scheduled collections. + Document daily activities, known issues, and participant feedback. + Collaborate with team members on data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting. + Support operational workflows, including scheduling, compiling results, and client reporting. + Escalate issues timely and provide clear reproduction steps to stakeholders. What you need to have to be considered: + 1u20133 years of experience in a similar role + HS Diploma or GED required; Bacheloru2019s degree preferred. + Customer relations management skills and ability to provide clear instructions. + Hands-on knowledge with Linux (comfortable in terminal/console with SSH experience). + Hardware integration experience (wired/wireless technologies between host computers and connected devices). + Ability to follow guides involving command line, shell scripts, and hardware debugging. + Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thorough workstyle. + Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to articulate issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Experience working in digital/technology companies with tech products. + Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment with minimal supervision. + Self-starter mindset, openness to new ideas and processes, and willingness to embrace change. + Knowledge and interest in AR/VR. Salary and Other Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $19.00 - $20.43 per hour , depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
