The Bayer lab at NYU Biology is looking for a highly motivated and independent individual to work as a Postdoctoral Associate. Projects in the Bayer lab study how sensory information affects animal behavior at the level of genes, neural circuits, and behavior. For more information about our work, visit This position is for a post-PhD trainee. The Postdoctoral Associate will develop and carry out a research project in consultation with Dr. Bayer, work with more junior lab members, publish peer-reviewed publications, and have opportunities to present results at conferences. In compliance with NYCu2019s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500-70,000 . New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. The initial term of employment is one year, with possibility of renewal for subsequent years. This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date. Candidates must hold (or be nearing completion) a PhD in neuroscience, biological sciences, or related fields, and have a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
