The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in preparing drawings and documentations in the oil and gas industry and must be proficient in AutoCAD. Additionally, experience with an engineering consulting firm is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team.This role can be based out of any our TRC offices in the US.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and drafting of electrical and instrumentation systems for Oil and Gas facilities using AutoCAD softwareWork closely with Engineers and Project Managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirementsDevelop detailed technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for electrical and instrumentation systems including Power distribution, Lighting, Motor control, communications, Heat tracing, Grounding systems, Instrument plans, Circuit schedules, and Instrument loop drawingsPerform calculations and analysis to ensure designs are safe, efficient, and meet all industry standards including sizing conduit and cable/wiringReview and interpret technical data and project specifications to ensure designs meet all requirementsMentor and train junior designers in design techniques, standards, and proceduresPerform field inspections and provide support during construction and commissioning activitiesCollaborate with other technical personnel to ensure project timelines and budgets are metQualificationsA two-year associates degree8+ years of experience using AutoCAD software for electrical and instrumentation designExpertise in relevant codes, standards, and regulations for the Oil and Gas industryAdvanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specificationsIn-depth knowledge of instrumentation and electrical equipment commonly used in Oil and Gas facilitiesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lead a team and work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholdersProven ability to deliver high-quality designs on-time and within budgetBenefits:TRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of:Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance.401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company match.Paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year).All full-time employees enjoy a...
