This job was posted by : For more information, please see: **Position Overview** Orofino Junior Senior High School is seeking a qualified and dedicated 9th-12th Grade Science Teacher to teach **Physical Science and Science Electives**. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a rigorous learning environment that prepares students for post-secondary success, whether in higher education or the workforce. **Qualifications** - Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement(s). Note: We welcome candidates pursuing Alternative Authorization paths to certification. If you have a strong science background and are eligible for an Idaho alternative route, we encourage you to apply. - Strong background in teaching methods, developmentally appropriate classroom activities, and effective classroom management - Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and effective teaching methods - Strong background in curriculum and the Idaho Core Standards - Strong background in the integration of technology with instruction - Ability to maintain a positive learning environment - Work well with students, staff, and the public - Excellent organizational skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Able to work under deadlines - Maintain confidentiality of staff and students - Demonstrate consistent, daily attendance and punctuality.
