Facilities Construction Manager - Alexandria, LA Core Responsibilities Contract Management: Negotiate and manage service contracts with outside vendors, ensuring work meets specifications and safety regulations. Project Oversight: Plan and coordinate construction, renovations, and equipment installations, including developing project scopes, timelines, and budgets. Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Select, bid out, and supervise the work of specialized contractors for plumbing, electrical, or structural repairs. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, maintenance schedules, and financial reports for senior leadership. Key Qualifications Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 10+ years in facilities management or construction, preferably with exposure to heavy industrial settings or maintenance outages. Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints/schematics, managing industrial HVAC/electrical systems, and using project management software. Certifications: Professional designations such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are highly preferred.
