Summary: As a Hardware Electrical Engineer at Meta, you will design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for a wide range of applications, from next-generation consumer hardware to large-scale infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teamsu2014including mechanical, optical, firmware, software, and manufacturing expertsu2014to deliver impactful solutions. Your work may span the full product or system lifecycle, from early prototyping and feasibility studies to large-scale deployment.You will be part of an environment that values technical development, rapid iteration, and creative problem-solving. Required Skills: Hardware Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: 1. Design, develop, and validate electrical subsystems or simple systems for Metau2019s hardware products, with increasing independence 2. Create schematics, direct board layout, and participate in design reviews 3. Document requirements, specifications, and test criteria for modules and systems 4. Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate new technologies and components 5. Support manufacturing builds, hardware bring-up, and troubleshooting activities 6. Collaborate across engineering disciplines (mechanical, firmware, software, etc.) to deliver integrated solutions 7. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical performance and reliability issues 8. Demonstrate sustained productivity and ownership of assigned areas 9. Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners and contribute to team-level goals 10. Participate in process improvement, knowledge sharing, and organizational activities as appropriate Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 11. Bachelor's or Masteru2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field, and/or equivalent practical experience 12. 2+ years of experience in electrical design or a relevant technical field 13. Proven knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and circuit and/or system design 14. Experience with schematic and board design using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cadence OrCAD, Altium) 15. Hands-on experience with lab equipment and debugging/automating hardware 16. Experience working with at least one of the following: digital signal processing, real-time image processing, display engineering, camera modules, mobile SoC/PMIC, or battery management systems Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: 17. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) 18. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) 19. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies 20. MS or PHD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering 21. Experience with high speed signaling over DP, MIPI, HDMI, and USB SS 22. Experience with IMUs/sensor physical sensor systems with an understanding of calibration methods 23. Experience with vision systems 24. Experience with audio technologies 25. Experience with circuit design in high speed circuits, Verilog/FPGAs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, firmware, and/or programmable logic based development 26.
