Dialysis Registry Clerk u2013 Fairlane Dialysis - 20 Hours/Week GENERAL SUMMARY: Functions as the face and voice of the dialysis unit, providing a welcoming atmosphere for patients and others, both in person and on the phone. Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, completes relevant forms, enters key information into databases, uses and provides reports. Obtains patientsu00bf records, schedules tests and treatments, registers new patient, types miscellaneous materials and performs other related duties. Address: 19001 Hubbard Dr. Dearborn, MI 48126 Department Description: Fairlane Dialysis is a freestanding outpatient dialysis facility. Staffed with full-time Nephrologists. In addition, we have full-time and part time Nurses and dialysis technicians. In addition, the unit has multiple support staff members including the front desk team and tech leader staff (machine maintenance) that may assist with operational duties within the clinic. Our team provides pt education as well as referrals to transplant services for sites the pt requests to be referred to. The unit is typically open Monday through Saturday from 5am to 730pm for pt care hours with some flexibility based on the clinic's needs. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: u00b7 Treats patients and families with respect and dignity, working in a compassionate manner toward the patients and their family members that are part of the dialysis program. u00b7 Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the billing cycle u00b7 Completes medical records responsibilities. u00b7 Assists with/enters scheduling information and corrections into Dimensions. u00b7 Fulfills lab computer responsibilities. u00b7 Fulfills Network/CROWN Web requirements. u00b7 Prepares monthly reports and statistics. u00b7 Adheres rigorously to all infection control/infection prevention requirements. u00b7 Maintains office supplies. Maintains a neat and safe work environment and appropriately speak up as needed regarding potential concerns. u00b7 Communicates and functions as part of an interdisciplinary team. u00b7 Positively contributes on a daily basis to the goals and objectives of the dialysis program (incenter and home) as appropriate to the scope of position. u00b7 Demonstrates the ability to plan work activities; demonstrates working knowledge and understanding of unit administrative, organizational, and operating procedures/policies. u00b7 Completes all required and assigned in-services and online education and demonstrates incorporation of the teaching/learning as appropriate to position. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: u00b7 Requires high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. u00b7 Requires computer experience; familiarity of Microsoft Office preferred. u00b7 Experience with entering information into databases preferred.
