In the strategic leadership role of Senior Manager, Transformation Strategy, this position acts as a connector and integrator across the enterprise. It supports growth strategies while maintaining cohesion between enterprise strategy, governance, and execution. The role fills a meaningful role in crafting and advancing the enterprise's strategic agenda by defining, evaluating, and prioritizing key growth opportunities. Within the Acceleration Office (AO), responsibilities include supporting the strategic operating model for long-range planning (LRP) and growth initiatives throughout all process phases. This role ensures transparency about how the AO supports core planning activities and meets set deadlines. The Senior Manager drives thought leadership for creating and carrying out comprehensive documentation, providing timely and insightful requirements gathering, and influencing key business decisions to deliver important initiatives. With a high level of trust and autonomy, this role translates enterprise priorities, leadership direction, and evolving strategy into effective operating rhythms, governance, and execution-especially during times of transformation and organizational change. Responsibilities Assist in the development and advancement of the enterprise strategy, converting the company vision, growth ambitions, and strategic priorities into well-defined, actionable strategic frameworks. Partner with senior leaders to develop strategic choices, evaluate tradeu2011offs, and ensure alignment between enterprise strategy and functional strategies. Provide strategic thought leadership informed by internal performance data, market trends, and insights about competitors to guide longu2011term decisionu2011making. Prepare executiveu2011level materials, including strategic briefs, longu2011range plan narratives, boardu2011ready content, and decision support materials. Translate evolving strategic direction into clear operating expectations and actionable mentorship for leaders and cross-functional partners across the organization. Work alongside senior leadership and cross-functional teams to proactively sequence enterprise priorities, coordinate dependencies, and settle conflicts in alignment with the transformation agenda. Lead early-stage (Stage 0) strategic idea assessment, helping to determine which opportunities should advance based on strategic fit, value potential, and enterprise priorities. Support development of initial arguments, including framing problem statements, key assumptions, and partnership with Finance to evaluate size of prize and value drivers. Operate effectively in ambiguous environments, prioritizing opportunities to the appropriate level of detail while connecting new ideas to existing enterprise strategies. Advance initiatives through the transformation pipeline (Stage 1 - Stage 3), ensuring clarity on objectives, value, work breakdown, dependencies, and risks. Support the development and upkeep of new strategic ideas, including research on industry trends, market comparisons, and relevant case studies to guide prioritization and decision-making. Surface risks associated with initiative implementation and propose solutions. As the team grows and transforms, responsibilities may vary pending the needs of the business. Qualifications Ten (10) or more years of business experience, preferably retail and strategy implementation. Prior experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte, Accenture Strategy, or equivalent) is strongly preferred. Consulting experience may be considered instead of years of industry experience. Experience in program or project delivery management covering scope, schedule, budget, and senior partner communications. The ability to define and build workstreams around a body of work. Demonstrated ability to operate independently in complex environments that require quick adaptation, working with senior-level collaborators, influencing outcomes and driving alignment without formal authority. Proven experience supporting large-scale transformation, organizational change, or C-suite/executive-led central initiatives. Excellent professional communication skills with a keen ability to focus on and engage people around specific topics to discern relevant details. Experience with a global and geo-dispersed team of direct partners, vendors, and or senior partners. Ability to write & deliver relevant compelling presentations. Outstanding ability to synthesize complex information into clear, executive-ready narratives and materials.
