Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a software company in New York, New York and provide dependable support across day-to-day receivables operations. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who is comfortable handling billing activity, reviewing account status, and resolving payment-related issues with accuracy. The person in this role will work closely with revenue operations leadership to keep records organized, address discrepancies, and ensure customer accounts are current. Responsibilities: u2022 Process billing requests and maintain accurate records for customer invoicing activities. u2022 Review account activity to distinguish settled balances from outstanding amounts and organize documentation accordingly. u2022 Reconcile invoices, payments, credits, and account adjustments to ensure financial records remain accurate. u2022 Investigate billing variances and follow through on corrective actions to resolve discrepancies promptly. u2022 Handle both manual and digital payment transactions while updating receivable records in a timely manner. u2022 Communicate with customers or vendor contacts regarding unpaid balances, invoice questions, and account updates. u2022 Support collections efforts by tracking outstanding invoices and assisting with follow-up on overdue accounts. u2022 Use accounting and billing platforms, including QuickBooks and preferably Stripe, to manage receivables tasks efficiently. Requirements u2022 At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or closely related billing support work. u2022 Practical knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment application, and reconciliation. u2022 Experience performing billing functions and monitoring outstanding invoices with strong attention to detail. u2022 Familiarity with QuickBooks and preferred experience working in Stripe for billing or payment activity. u2022 Ability to research account issues, identify discrepancies, and take appropriate follow-up action. u2022 Comfortable communicating with customers and external contacts in a detail-oriented, support-oriented manner. u2022 Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage part-time responsibilities consistently in a fast-paced environment.
