June 2026.Duties and Responsibilities(*denotes essential functions):*Responsible for the daily operations of Ka Piko Testing Center and Student Tech Support Services. Ensure the Center operates in a clean, orderly, quiet, safe, and secure manner.*Recruit, schedule, train, supervise, and monitor student assistants.*Coordinate WCC campus testing services, including placement testing, testing for distance education (DE) courses, and make-up/retests for campus courses.*Coordinate student testing accommodations with the Disabilities Services Counselor.*Manage the administration of placement tests and retests, including processing fee collection, purchasing test units, providing score reports, troubleshooting system errors, collection, purchasing test units, providing score reports, troubleshooting system errors, and maintaining accurate records.*Coordinate other testing services, including pre-employment testing for the Department of Public Safety (DPS), as well as testing for non-UH System students and private organizations.*Maintain integrity of the testing process by enforcing security and confidentiality protocols for all testing materials, passwords, and records; respond to instances of misconduct or infractions according to established procedures.*Provide timely and professional customer service to students, faculty, staff and community when answering questions and providing information about services, policies, and procedures.*Adhere to FERPA and all campus, state/federal, and test agency security and confidentiality regulations.*Oversee established fee assignments, revenue collection, fiscal tracking, and budget compliance; solicit, manage, and maintain third-party vendor agreements in consultation with appropriate supervisors.*Provide direct student tech support and assist with updating the campus’ website chatbot.*Coordinate with the Computing Services Department to determine student hardware and software needs, and assist with the deployment, maintenance, and imaging, and inventory of all student-utilized computers on campus (including in the library, computer classrooms, laptop carts, and student support services).*Determine student fees or replacement costs for damaged or lost campus hardware.Maintain familiarity with information technology developments and trends. Gain expertise in new or updated tools or services.*Recommend purchase of equipment and supplies for the Center and prepare purchase requisitions in compliance with all campus and UH System procurement guidelines.Assist with maintenance of Testing Center and Student Tech Support webpages.*Generate, maintain, and analyze statistical records of Testing Center and Student Tech Support usage and activities for the Annual Report of Program Data (ARPD).Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsPossession of a baccalaureate degree in a discipline offered by the College and 1 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for the management and/or support of a higher education testing operation; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of professional testing practices demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology.Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with implementing best practices when proctoring exams.Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range of problems that may commonly occur in the area of testing services and related technical support.Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.Demonstrated ability to operate and troubleshoot devices using Apple (MacOS, iOS), Microsoft (Windows), and Chromebook (Google) operating systems.Ability to lead subordinates, manage work priorities and projects, and manage employee relations.Desirable QualificationsA degree in a technical or relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional certifications.Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) (e.g. Brightspace D2L (aka Lamaku)).Knowledge of and experience with UH fiscal and administrative policies and procedures, with accounting or fiscal experience in a public institution of higher education.
