Responsibilities + Design digital schematics and perform PCB layout for smart glasses and head-mounted display products. + Collaborate with PCB fabrication and SMT vendors to produce prototype PCB assemblies and ensure build quality. + Test and debug new hardware for both functional correctness and reliability, using appropriate test methods and tools. + Develop and maintain technical documentation for design requirements, testing procedures, and validation results. + Work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop electronics for highly constrained and compact product architectures. + Participate in cross-discipline design reviews to optimize product implementation, performance, and manufacturability. + Support the R&D Electrical Department in meeting ISO 9001:2015 standards and completing required quality and process training. + Contribute to hardware design from initial concept through implementation, iteration, and preparation for production release. + Implement and debug high-speed digital designs, ensuring signal integrity and robust performance. + Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to define and refine hardwareu2013software interfaces. + Use CAD tools to create and update schematics and PCB layouts in alignment with project requirements and design standards. + Apply hands-on skills such as soldering and board rework during prototyping, debugging, and design refinement. + Analyze and debug complex hardware issues using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. + Communicate design decisions, progress, and technical issues clearly to peers and leadership, both verbally and in writing. + Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment through all phases of product development, from initial concept to production release. Essential Skills + Minimum bacheloru2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. + At least 6 years of experience in a relevant technical field involving hardware design and development. + Proven experience with hardware design from concept to implementation, including schematic design and PCB layout. + Demonstrated experience implementing and debugging high-speed digital designs. + Strong understanding of hardware and software interfaces and how they impact system-level behavior. + Hands-on experience with CAD software for schematic and layout design, such as Altium Designer, Cadence, or OrCAD. + Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief peers and leadership effectively. + Ability to produce clear technical documentation for requirements, testing, and validation activities. + Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional and multidisciplinary engineering teams. + Capability to meet and support ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and related training requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with the C programming language and microprocessor-based system development. + Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout. + Experience with soldering and board-level rework during prototyping and debugging. + Experience analyzing and debugging complex hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and similar test equipment. + Background working in multidisciplinary team environments through all phases of product development, from concept to production release. + Strong listening skills and the ability to comprehend problems, urgency, and desired outcomes even when information is incomplete. + Willingness to share information and ideas openly and to engage in constructive technical discussions and design reviews. Work Environment You will work on multiple projects simultaneously, contributing to advanced smart glasses and head-mounted display technologies in collaboration with a small team of experienced Senior engineers, including colleagues with more than a decade of tenure. Approximately 80% of your time will focus on design activities such as schematic creation, PCB layout, and documentation, while about 20% will be dedicated to hands-on testing, debugging, and hardware validation using lab equipment.
