Summary: This role is responsible for acting as the primary contact for leadership, supervision, and oversight for their assigned department. The role assists and provides direction to the team to ensure achievement of daily safety, quality, productivity and inventory goals. This person must be a role model for safe behavior and must ensure team members are following safe work practices and wearing required personal protection equipment (PPE). Essential Functions: u2022 Facilitate 'start of shift' meetings and assign tasks throughout shift. u2022 Troubleshoot and solve problems on the production floor. u2022 Monitor and track quality issues and escalate to supervisor when necessary. u2022 Provide constructive feedback to associates regarding operational errors. u2022 Monitor and adjust labor utilization as necessary; coordinate efforts and resource allocation with other team leads/supervisors. u2022 Ensure quality management system training records are accurate; ensure controlled copies of work instructions are accurate and up to date. u2022 Facilitate cross-training throughout assigned department; conduct cross-training when needed. u2022 Monitor and track mechanical downtime, daily metrics, order processing and material availability. u2022 Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education. u2022 4+ years manufacturing experience. u2022 Proficient quality management and enterprise resource planning systems experience. u2022 Must be capable of training, certifying and performing all positions within the department.
