This is a first line supervisor that is responsible for the overall administrative and technical management of section operations. This position supervises Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Processors, or other laboratory personnel. Work situations are varied and require strong leadership skills, organization, prioritization, accuracy, discretion, good judgment, and independent decision-making. Major decisions are subject to the review and approval of the Manager. External contacts include physicians, pathologists, physician office staff, and patients.
