Summary This is a full time position, located within Path and Lab service at the White River Junction VA Medical Center. Responsibilities Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and management of the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) to ensure seamless integration with the VA's digital infrastructure and clinical operations. Duties include but are not limited to: Develops and recommends policies for the installation and use of the LIS in coordination with overarching Hospital Information System Provided authoritative consultation to all organizational levels regarding the functions, capabilities and clinical applications of the laboratory software Manages complex coding and mapping for test ordering, billing and workload recording while ensuring adherence to regulatory principles Evaluates emerging technologies and serves as the local expert for national software developers in testing and validating new software packages Oversees the maintenance of system security keys and conducts technical training for personnel on comprehensive computer functions and ordering options Maintains compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements through regular audits and system evaluations Performs additional duties as assigned Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Compressed/Flexible: Not Authorized Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
