Job Title: Senior Director, Digital Strategy and Customer Engagement Reports to: Executive Vice President, blulava Job Purpose: The Senior Director, Digital Strategy and Customer Engagement has a central role in planning and selling to current and future clients. The Senior Director, Digital Strategy and Customer Engagement helps create an industry leading center of excellence, being an architect of touchpoints and ecosystems, while building deep client relationships through honesty, integrity and transparency. The Senior Director will develop and manage client relationships, lead pricing and proposal strategies, and develop digital and multichannel products and services while leading the digital team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Organic Growth/Business Development + Has thorough understanding of our core products and service offerings and identifies new opportunities and ways of expanding client relationships through new digital products and services. + Identify areas of organic growth with existing clients as well as leading new business pitches. + Participates in brainstorming sessions to develop ideas to grow and enhance digital programs. + Build and develop long-term client relationships by sale of proprietary digital products and services. + Proactively identifies opportunities for growth and assists with developed proposals/SOWs for client consideration. + Participates in weekly new business planning sessions and communicates status of new business opportunities. Client Relations + Collaborates with account, medical, creative, and technology leads to deliver solutions that are on target with clients? needs and expectations. + Active participant in client pitches, delivering logical, succinct, appropriate, and compelling solutions. + Maintains positive client relationships, proactively anticipates client needs, and represents the agency on day-to-day client activities. + Develop processes, approaches, and tools for digital asset creation along with activation planning and development. + Understands and navigates multiple clients and internal team structures. + Thorough and ongoing research to stay up-to-date on opportunities in existing and emerging digital channels and platforms. + Understands and supports client compliance/regulatory governances and adheres to guidelines; drives best practices to help improve process/workflow. + Prepares proposals, project briefs, and concept documents to ensure alignment among internal and external stakeholders. + Understands brand strategy and provides the internal team with client expectations and insights throughout the project development process. + Collaborates with account and medical leads on brand tactics, brand content, and strategic planning. + Reviews work for quality and consistency with a focus on brand strategy and program objectives. + Drive agency thought leadership and content on innovations, trends, insights, and perspectives regarding the intersection of digital, strategy, and technology in healthcare marketing. Agency Stewardship + Interfaces with all agency departments to proactively communicate appropriate status, brand activities, and related marketing information to ensure effective content development and efficient project workflow. + Works with the blulava senior leadership to manage and prioritize workflow within assigned account, including direct reports. + Works with blulava senior leadership and department heads to proactively plan for high-volume periods and maintain appropriate work prioritization. + Work alongside blulava senior leadership to create best in-class digital and multichannel service offerings that consistently exceed client expectations. + Drive the optimal application of technology to brand experiences and ensure the strategic execution of solutions. + Develop approaches to metrics and KPIs through analytics to drive measurement, data capture, the use of third party data, insight mining, and insightful data analysis. + Understands the regulations/guidelines of the AMA, OIG, and PhRMA as related to the development of digital initiatives. Qualifications: + Bachelor?s Degree and 10+ years of digital and/or medical communications agency experience required. + Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking ? strong understanding of brand strategy and ability to read clients? feedback and identify opportunities for brand/account growth. + Healthcare digital marketing experience. + Experience leading digital account, strategy, production, or UX teams + Deep understanding and interest in analytics and technology + Possess strong strategic and negotiating skill with the ability to plan and present agency work proposals and rational. + Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook, advance proficiency in PowerPoint. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills ? ability to clearly communicate in an articulate, straightforward and engaging manner. + Strong, significant experience as a supervisor or in leading strategic marketing plans, product launch experience a plus. + Demonstrated ability working on a wide range of accounts and therapeutic categories a plus. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, client-driven environment while maintaining composure and instilling a sense of purpose. + Ability to travel to client locations for pitches as required.
