We are seeking a peak performer with a robust passion for the insurance business, excellence in problem-solving, and a tireless work ethic. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in management consulting within the insurance industry, substantial client-facing experience, and industry leadership. Willingness to travel up to 50% for client engagements is required.As Practice Director for Insurance, your responsibility will include the expansion of our consultancy services within the insurance and financial services industries. This strategic position requires leadership excellence, adeptness in business development, and profound industry knowledge. Your role is crucial in developing solutions that enhance operational efficiency, client service, and customer satisfaction in the insurance domain. Growing the practice's revenue, directing client engagements, and leading a team of high-performing consultants will be at the heart of your role.Key Responsibilities:Business Development: Utilize leads from our sales efforts and your professional network to create new opportunities. Spearhead business development efforts, including drafting project plans, proposals, and statements of work for potential client engagements within the insurance sector. Engage with current clients to uncover additional needs and secure continued business.Client Delivery and Oversight: Ensure client projects exceed expectations, fulfill contractual agreements, meet our revenue and profitability goals, and that we preserve our intellectual capital for future projects.Team Leadership: Mentor and manage a team of high-performing consultants, instilling our cultural values, and achieving delivery excellence. Support recruitment within your practice area.Solution Development: Strategize the growth and service offerings of the Insurance practice, with a concentration on specific sub-segments such as medical, life and annuity, and property and casualty insurance, forming appealing market propositions.Required Skills and Background:A bachelor's degree in finance, business, engineering, healthcare management, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.A minimum of 10 years of significant experience in management consulting, with a record of impactful client service in the insurance sector.Proven ability to lead and develop a multimillion-dollar insurance consulting portfolio, identifying opportunities, forecasting sales, composing proposals and statements of work, and successfully closing deals.Established industry expertise in medical insurance, with broader experience in life and annuity, and property and casualty insurance. Experience with other financial services organizations is a plus.Exceptional business acumen and strategic prowess, adept at spotting and seizing market opportunities within the insurance industry.Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of persuading and engaging stakeholders at all levels.A result-driven approach, aiming to deliver client value, accomplish business objectives, and exceed performance goals.Relevant professional certifications in insurance, such as CPCU, CLU, or equivalents are advantageous.Compensation:The position offers an attractive compensation package, including a base salary plus commission, and comprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, vacation, and a 401(k) plan with company match.About Voyage Advisory:Voyage Advisory helps clients drive operational efficiency and customer experience across various sectors.
