LocationMarysville, OhioJob PurposeThe Business Planning Principal Specialist is responsible for various roles and tasks that contribute to the development, management and reporting of the Business Planning strategy for Production Engineering Business Unit (PEBU).Activity is conducted thru facilitation of, and/or involvement in, regular BU-Level management meetings and events including the following: Preparation & facilitation of the monthly BU-level Cap-Do cycle; Summarization of BU-level quarterly result reports; Preparation of BU-level Communication Meetings; Execution of identified business improvement themes.This position also assists the Business Planning Principal Senior Specialist, as needed, to carry out the objectives of the Business Plan strategic plan.Key AccountabilitiesResponsible to lead BU-Level Management Meeting facilitation for Div/Dept Leader meeting (DLM), PE MGT meeting (PEMM), and other BU meetingsResponsible to lead BU-level strategic planning & facilitation of Div/Dept monthly CapDo report meetings to BULsSupport BU-Level Annual Business Plan Development including annual strategy;  Yamagomori series; vision documents; policy tree; and KPIs.Responsible to lead BU-level summarization of quarterly result reports including:  KPI, Policy Tree, Business PlanResponsible to lead BU-Level coordination of Div/Dept monthly KPI report preparationResponsible to lead BU, Dept, Unit-Level Kadai & improvement theme executionResponsible to lead BU Communication Meeting event preparation & facilitation for:  New Ki K/O; 1st Half Result; New Calendar Year; or alternate methodResponsible to lead for various Business Planning roles as identified on the team RASIC, such as:  HDMA Management Manual update, BU Business Audit planning & facilitation, BU Short Term Planning Calendar management, etc.Responsible to lead BU-Level Miscellaneous Report preparation - facilitate and lead activity (ex.  Executive member onboarding document preparation)Support Unit coordination of Visual Management materials.Support the activities of the Business Planning Principal Senior Specialist as necessary and serve the role of backup in their absence.Share ideas, negotiate, collaborate, and build consensus within BU and across HondaBuild a network of productive relationships across BU, Honda and externally.Qualifications, Experience, and SkillsRequired EducationBachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent experienceRequired Experience8+ years in one of the following areas; or a combination of the following areas; or in a field where job knowledge and skills are applicable based on education: Production Engineering (engineering, design, and manufacturing of production equipment / dies / molds / processes) Project Leadership, Business ManagementDesired Skills:Strong communication skills to various audiences including senior leadership teamStrong presentation skillsIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Suite particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word.Familiarity with SmartSheet, Excel macros, Power BI are all a plusAbility to approach conflict resolution in a professional mannerWorkstyleWork is hybrid style, however mostly performed in office environment to conduct & facilitate face-to-face meetings & collaboration.  Remote work may be performed on occasion when there is no impact to business.Potential travel to other PEBU locations, ADC facility, or other Honda North America locations / factories for meetings, events, benchmarking, and training.Up to 5~10 hours of OT per week.Benefits and Total RewardsWhat differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?Total Rewards:Manager Lease Car Program (No Cost - Car, Maintenance, and Insurance included)Overtime compensationAnnual BonusAssociate lease car program with a costIndustry leading Benefit Plans (Medical, Dental, Vision)Paid time off, including vacation, paid holidays, sick time, personal days401K Plan with company match + additional contributionRelocation assistance (if eligible)Career Growth:Advancement opportunitiesCareer mobilityEducation reimbursement for continued learningTraining and Development programsAdditional Offerings:Wellbeing programCommunity service and engagement programsFree drinks onsiteProduct programs
