Large, growing, and prestigious cosmetic dermatology practice in a well-situated downtown Chicago location seeks experienced individual to fulfill the senior leadership position supporting all areas of practice operation. This person will inspire and motivate their diverse and dynamic team of amazing professionals to the next level of performance and inclusion, while also ensuring the fulfillment of the ultimate goal of creating outstanding patient outcomes. The ideal individual is an experienced senior leader with medical practice management background, background in aesthetic practices, and advanced human relations skills who is interested in a long term positions with a stable node growing practice. This leader will be called on to oversee and mange at a high level the day-to-day operations, financial reporting and budgeting, scheduling operations, and staff training, as well as skillfully navigating between interactions with the practice director, senior providers, and patient care representatives. There will also be occasion direct interactions with patients themselves. The Senior Practice Administrator will be responsible for operations supporting a very large staff population, including multiple Estheticians, multiple Physician Assistants, and 5 Physicians. The leader will have a staff of management professionals working alongside them. However, although the focus is on high level management and oversight of the operations, this is not a solely "˜back-office' management position. This is an active, hands-on, occasionally frontline position, where it will be imperative be in touch with the pulse of the practice to keep day to day operations running smoothly. The chosen candidate must be able to rise above the daily dynamic challenges that a practice of this size will ultimately encounter, keep the practice on track, lead with purpose, maintain control of financial performance, and provide intentional strategic direction to all levels at all times.Required Skills and AttributesThe ideal candidate must have experience with management structures that support effectively managing large numbers of people in a multitude of roles. They will be able to demonstrate advanced organization skills, and will be familiar with practice management and financial and analytical concepts, have a management philosophy that is motivationally-based and people centered, and have high level knowledge of the software and systems that medical practices use on a day to day basis. This is a people leadership position and advanced relationships skills are required, as well as being adept at making people feel good about their interactions with you, even in the most difficult of situations. Because this senior administrator will oversee and direct the coordinators and supervisors of departments, as well as participate in strategic planning, financial reporting, marketing, and business development activities, the  candidate will be able to demonstrate advanced communication abilities, people management skills, organizational skills, and computer proficiency - including practice management systems , cloud based software, Excel and Quickbooks.  Knowledge of surgical and aesthetic cosmetic practice required. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in guiding a marketing team towards applying market demographic materials in the pursuit of growing the practice.The ideal candidate will be involved in MGMA and/or Association of Dermatology Administrators and Managers, and be able to demonstrate a focus on continuous self-improvement and learning. Daily ResponsibilitiesA sample of typical responsibilities includes: Active oversight and participation in the following:Daily operations, personnel/HR management, scheduling, billings operations, ICD-10 coding, product inventory, managed care contracting, physician credentialing, weekly and monthly staff reporting, and patient services.Development of marketing and PR plans, social media development, staff training, and coordination of educational seminars.Oversight of a retail cosmetic products store.Monthly accounting, A/P, budget forecasting with Quickbooks, ExcelCoordination of office meetingsAct as liaison for Director of Operations, Financial Director, External Advisors including accounting and law firms Human Resources Generalist and Cosmetic Supervisor.Support of lead physician/owner in strategic planning, scheduling and coordination, and miscellaneous daily activitiesRequired EducationPreference for Master's degree in business or healthcare/practice administration.
