To this end, Honda strives to realize "the joy and freedom of mobility" by developing new technologies and an innovative approach to achieve a "zero environmental footprint."We are looking for qualified individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, continuous improvement values, and a strong work ethic to join our team.If your goals and values align with Honda's, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future!LocationTroy, OhioJob PurposeThe Cost Specialist IV position is a primary contact with the AHM supplier network to ensure parts are purchased at the best possible cost.  This role is responsible for the following job functions and working independently with the most complex high-impact suppliers, including fabric, including service & campaign kits, North American Honda frame plants and powertrain plants for non-current production, Bill of Material (BOM) / Honda Supply Parts (HSP) parts management, HVAC and safety systems suppliers, contract review and is expected to resolve tier 2 & 3 supplier issues with minimal direction. This position includes the most complex service part suppliers and commodities.Service Part Cost Negotiation (cost avoidance and cost reduction)Buildout (ensuring production of non-current parts)Tooling & Die Maintenance Cost (tooling transfers, tools repair reviews/approvals, new tool purchases)Key AccountabilitiesNegotiate service parts pricing agreements with suppliersManage supplier issues and cost changes on all parts.
