Job Summary: The General Manager will oversee operations and tasks performed at respective office to ensure all facets run smoothly and at a profit, make necessary decisions for the office in order to ensure compliance with company and government regulations, and direct the workflow of drivers, packers, and helpers as needed, ensuring a positive experience for the customer through training and a positive work environment for employees. Compensation is based on experience.Essential Functions:Review financial statements to determine where improvements need to be madeMeet with associates on a regular basis to communicate expectations and schedulingAssign work to subordinates in a manner that is conducive for the office to run at a profitable and efficient manner as well as follow up on assigned tasksIntervene as necessary in all facets of the officeDetermine ways to advertise and get leads on potential movesAuthorize invoices for payment and transmit invoices to corporate officeMake any personnel decisions as necessary including hiring or recruitment, terminations, evaluations, and disciplinary reportsReport any significant issues to the Regional Vice President for further action as neededOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of company systemsKnowledge of residential, commercial, and military move processAbility to problem solve effectively and efficientlyAbility to take charge frequentlyRequired Education and Experience:Preferred: Bachelor's degreeRequired: Previous managerial experienceRequired: Previous experience in logistics and transportationWorking Conditions:Mostly indoors, working outdoors is sometimes requiredLifting in excess of 20 lbs is sometimes requiredLifting in excess of 50 lbs is rarely requiredSaturday work during summer busy season is required and may be occasionally required during non-peak season depending on business needs.Coleman Worldwide Moving Benefits for Employees (not applicable for seasonal employees if not stated):40 hours of VACATION PAY after 1-year employmentArray of voluntary health benefits including but not limited to (Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, and more)6 paid holidays after 90 days for Full Time employees (Seasonal Included)Referral Bonus ProgramsColeman Worldwide Moving (and affiliated companies) (collectively "CWM") is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
