Job Title: Property AccountantCompany Overview:Our company is a leading real estate management firm that specializes in managing a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. With a strong commitment to excellence and a focus on delivering exceptional service to our clients, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in the industry.Key Responsibilities:- Responsible for accounting for a portfolio of properties, which includes the general ledger month-end close and supporting work papers. This includes both residential and commercial properties.- Review the balance sheet and income statement to ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions. Analyze and understand fluctuations in account balances and identify underlying drivers.- Maintain and update individual property workbooks that are reviewed by management.- Review and approve payables, ensuring proper GL coding and descriptions.- Prepare budget to actual variance reports, providing valuable insights and analysis.Required Skills and Qualifications:Education:- A bachelors degree (B.A.) in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university, or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience.Experience:- 1 to 3 years of prior professional experience in accounting.We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
