Primary Purpose: Provides primary support for calibration of measurement and inspection equipment. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures all measurement and inspection equipment in manufacturing is calibrated, has the proper calibration stickers attached, and is recorded in Gage Pack. Maintains calibration schedule and records in Gage Pack. Includes saving outsourced records (certs) associated to measurement and inspection equipment. Calibrates dimensional fixtures, performs maintenance and repairs as required, creates Calibration technique cards for dimensional fixtures. Creates custom storage for each fixture. Enters new measurement and inspection equipment and associated calibration schedule. Scribing into equipment when and where appropriate, providing fully completed calibration stickers and placement on equipment. Works with Purchasing to outsource measurement and inspection equipment calibrations as needed. May need to provide quotes, maintain spare parts inventory, purchase tools and equipment for calibration lab. Monitors calibration schedule and communicates measurement and inspection equipment required to be gathered for calibration review in advance of due date. Organizes and provides facility with needed measurement and inspection equipment as needed due to wear, out of calibration, damage... Provides overdue items list to Quality Systems Supervisor for those items not located and locked up, and enters into system as lost equipment. Provides overviews as requested for internal and external audits. Monitors calibration procedures and SOPs for compliance. Investigates new measurement and inspection equipment and calibration techniques. Continual surveillance of measurement and inspection equipment on the floor for adherence to calibration requirements. Some off-shift work may be necessary to maintain measurement and inspection equipment and calibration schedules. Creates calibration specifications for new equipment when required. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Requires concentrated mental and/or visual attention; the work involves complex tasks and quality specifications. HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered. 3+ years of solid work history. 1-3 years in a role where the use of calibrated equipment was required. Knowledge of or experience with the requirements of ISO 17025 preferred. Basic equipment maintenance. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Data collection, data entry, and data management. Ability to communicate well and write clear work instructions, present information to a group. Ability to work in a team environment and a self-starter, able to work successfully independently. Ability to read, understand, and apply specifications independently. Must pass the annual Jaeger vision exam. Compliance with general company attendance standard is required. Must be at least 18 years of age.  Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check. Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Associates degree or higher preferred in a mechanical application Calibration maintenance experience Experience with calibration maintenance software packages Ability to read blue print packages 3+ years of work experience with CPP or similar aerospace company. Work Conditions: Work is typically performed under reasonably good working conditions. Schedule: Scheduled hours may fluctuate depending upon workload and production requirements. Overtime is required as needed.
