Job Description:Supervisor Accreditation NurseThe Accreditation Supervisor is a key member of the Quality and Performance Improvement Team. This individual supports the accreditation and quality functions for the hospital as we design, build and manage and improve our quality programs. This individual leads the organization with ongoing programs to promote integration of standards and regulations for The Joint Commission and serves as a key resource for knowledge of and compliance with external regulatory requirements. This position leads and develops the Accreditation team.SKILLS AND ABILITIES Expert knowledge and interpretation of Joint Commission and CMS StandardsDemonstrates ability to interpret accreditation standards, identify organizational gaps and implement processes to meet standards and/or close gapsDemonstrates knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and certification requirements and processes that are applicable to the healthcare settingDemonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the positionDemonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipmentExhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the publicExhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervisionDemonstrates the ability to effectively manage a meetingMaintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job locationEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of OregonCPHQ Certification within 6 months of hireMust possess an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) at start of employmentBachelor's degree in a healthcare related field preferredEXPERIENCE Two (2) years' experience in acute care hospital setting and hospital accreditation/regulatory affairsGENERAL INFORMATION Union Affiliation: NoneThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
