Job Title

Under broad direction, you will supervise and lead a group of engineers and designers while assigned to the home office in Newark, DE. You will provide technical direction over a group (2-15 depending on project), coaching and professional development of lower-level engineering and design professionals. You will also be responsible for the planning, budgeting, organizing and controlling of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program or an entire engineering program of moderate scope up to $200mil. Your job role is responsible for all measurable assets such as an assigned staff, schedule, budgets and work estimates.In this position, you will be assigned to the KBR Newark, DE office. Flexible work schedule will be offered, with remote and in-office workdays (Hybrid).ResponsibilitiesTechnical content on construction released structural drawings for structural steel and concrete.Preparing structural calculations for structural steel and concreteConceptual and final foundation design including spread footings, piles, and drilled shafts.Preparing construction specificationsProviding technical support during construction for all structural activitiesRequirements/QualificationsBachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural EngineeringProfessional Engineer License (PE), or ability to obtain one within 6 months of start of employment.12+ years of experience in structural engineeringExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAble to lead a small to medium team to deliver on commitments.Virtual team skills to provide interoffice execution support with general supervision.BENEFITS KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include a 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
