We are committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.Job DescriptionThe main responsibility of a National Technical Representative is to support Sika sales force in the Concrete Admixtures division. A variety of onsite and remote technical support must be provided to our sales force and customers in western & southwestern regions.Additional RequirementsDeep technical understanding of concrete materials (cement, aggregates, SCM, etc.) and concrete admixtures.Understanding of different concrete manufacturing processes (ready mix, precast and dry cast production), concrete placement, finishing, curing, etc.Ability to communicate the solution (mix design adjustments, production improvements, change of raw materials, etc.) in a professional manner with the goal to produce positive outcome.Assist sales with field testing of newly introduced products and technologies, help with gathering testing data for new product development.Ability to prepare and present educational presentations to our customers' employees.Benchmark Sika products versus competition to determine and understand advantages/disadvantages and unique selling points.Ability to monitor industry trends, competitors, etc.Be an active part of main Concrete industry association - NRMCA, NPCA, PCI, ACI, ASTM, PCA, etc. Very close cooperation between Sika sales force, Research & Development and Marketing departments.QualificationsBachelor's Degree preferred.15+ years' experience within the concrete industry with strong technical background.Experience in sales beneficial.Strong work ethic.Observant, detective and troubleshooting capabilities.Must have very strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Excellent internal, external, oral, and written communication skills.Attention to details with analytical thinking, excellent report writing skills.Excellent analytical, planning and time management skills.Often travel is required.Additional InformationCompetitive Benefits: Health Insurance, 401k with company match, year-end profit-sharing bonus, paid time off, and paid holidays.Meaningful Work: Sika products enhance our surroundings and the work every employee completes helps positively impact daily lives by making our world stronger, more durable, and more reliable - every day.Company Culture: Sika centers work culture around entrepreneurship where individuals have the power to make decisions, learn from mistakes, and define their career.Community Involvement: Sika Corporation takes active roles in our community and aims to support volunteer work and charitable endeavors across the United States through rebuilding and giving back.Sustainability Initiatives: Sika is committed to sustainable development, reducing environmental impacts, and assuming social responsibility.
