Draftsman/DesignerAmalgamated Sugar Company - Nampa, IdahoAmalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Designer to prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes for engineering or manufacturing purposes, per specified dimensions.Amalgamated Sugar Company is built on innovation and is a proud leader in the sugar industry and that can only happen with the best people. Qualified candidates need to be dynamic and able to work successfully in a fluid environment.Additional Responsibilities:· Must be familiar with all computerized drafting methods, AutoCad software like AudtoCAD Plant 3D, and hand drafting techniques.· Begin to develop design options under the direct supervision of the Plant or Staff Engineer.· Ability to interpret drawings, sketches, and blueprints into useable designs. Ability to produce drawings and designs for mechanical, structural, steam, water, and process piping, electrical, and controls.· Maintain a high level of accuracy and documentation of each project.· Begin to develop and maintain accurate bill of materials for each design drawing.· Ensure drawings are accurately dimensioned based on information supplied.· Properly illustrated design specification in a readable, appropriate manner.· Draw charts for representation of statistical data.· Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.· Revise existing designs.· Maintain accurate, up to date record of drawing numbers and titles.· Review and work with other Draftsman drawings. Ability to verify construction dimensions and locations, and answer construction field questions relating to approved design drawings.· Assist with various drafting duties related to engineering designs.· Occasional travel to various factory locations.· Perform other related duties as required.Qualifications:· High School Diploma or equivalent· Minimum two (2) years of experience using drafting equipment or technology training· OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities· Experience and training on AutoCad, piping & structural layouts in 3D· Extensive knowledge of drafting procedures· Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and functionsAmalgamated Sugar Company is an equal opportunity employer
