As our nationwide growth accelerates, our Accounting team at our Corporate HQ in Mechanicsburg, PA plays a key role in driving forward our mission of Bringing Happiness to Every Home® by creating a culture of continuous improvement with our accounting systems, processes, and guidelines.As an Assistant Controller at West Shore Home®, you will contribute to this mission by assisting in building and maintaining an effective system of internal controls over financial reporting. The Assistant Controller reports to the Corporate Controller or Divisional Controller and will oversee a team of Accountants.What You'll ContributeIn this role, you can expect to:Close accounting books (5 business day goal) entering applicable journal entries and reconciling general ledger accountsPrepare/review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statementsWork with internal auditors, and provide support for external audits as necessaryMaintain current policy documents and SOPs for accountable areasProvides new employees with effective training in role requirementsWhat It Takes To SucceedAt West Shore Home, we are Default Aggressive towards our goals and take Extreme Ownership of our results.
