Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities is accepting applications for the position of Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting Team. As an Accountant on our team, you will have the potential to specialize in a number of key areas, depending on your experience and strengths, including but not limited to: Resident Lease Transactions, Account Analysis, Annual Budgeting, Payroll Processing & Compliance, Accounts Payable, Data Management, and Financial Reporting. Responsibilities and Duties within your area(s) of specialization may include: Resident Lease Transactions- Follow established community accounting processes and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness among communities and team members. Complete steps for monthly rent roll and monthly financial statements for assigned communities. Account Analysis - Assist with bank reconciliations, community expense allocations, general deposits, bonus calculations, recurring items, error reconciliation, documentation and support for payroll-related accounts to other accountants for assistance in monthly financial statement preparation and review and for job costing. Annual Budgeting - Assist with preparation, organization, and timeliness of annual community budgeting process. Accounts Payable - Review expenditure coding and approve invoices/credit card transactions.  Assist with data entry integrations to help ensure complete financial records and timely vendor payments.  Respond to vendor and manager inquiries.  Resolve billing and payment discrepancies. Data Management - Participate in ground up development of organization and workflow systems to track bonus programs and community scorecards, and other special projects. Financial Reporting - Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end tasks related to financial reporting; including bank reconciliations, fixed asset management and intercompany transaction reporting. Proficiently utilize company software programs -  Currently including: Census App, PM3, Event1, Sage 300 software accounting modules, AvidXchange, AnterraBI, Timberscan, HRIS platform (currently Paycor), General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cash Management Applications, and eProcurement platform. Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, accounting, or equivalent work experience. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting standards and their practical application. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications. Familiarity with Payroll, Employee Benefit Procedures and Laws, Human Resource Information Systems, and Invoice Processing platforms is beneficial but not required. Strong service orientation with exceptional communication skills, capable of interacting respectfully, compassionately, and effectively with minimal supervision.
