The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner serves as a health-care provider who specializes in diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with any suspected or known heart diseases. The Nurse Practitioner work assignments involve outpatient office and telehealth visits, curbside consults with referring physicians, coordination of pacemakerdefibrillator monitoring, initiation and delivery of IV medications, supervision of stress testing, and patient andor provider-level didactic presentations. This is a rare opportunity that allows for work-life balance within the field of cardiology, with working hours M-F, and no hospital call or weekend requirements. Use your skills to make an impact Responsibilities: * Evaluates and treats center patients in accordance with standards of care. * Follows level of medical care and quality for patients and monitors care using available data and chart reviews. * Acts as an active participant and key source of medical expertise with the care team through daily huddles. * Helps Area Medical Director and Center Administrator in setting a tone of cooperation in practice by displaying a professional and approachable demeanor. * Completes all medical record documentation in a timely manner working with a quality- based coder to optimize coding specificity. * Follows policy and protocol defined by Clinical Leadership. * Meets with Area Medical Director and Lead Cardiologist about quality of care, review of outcome data, policy, procedure and records issues. * Participates in potential growth opportunities for new or existing services within the Center. * Participates in rotating coverage for after-hours urgent phone calls from patients. * Assures personal compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies. * Spend 100% of your time clinically focused on direct patient care, inclusive of patient facing time and general administrative time (charting, meetings, etc.) as it relates to direct patient care. Required Qualifications * Current and unrestricted APRN license or willing to obtain a medical licenses in state of practice; * Graduate of accredited APRN program of an accredited university * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationships and communications with colleaguespatients * Fully engaged in the concept of "Integrated team based care" model * Willingness and ability to learnadapt to practice in a value-based care setting * Superior patientcustomer service * Basic computer skills, including email and EMR * At least 1 year of prior experience working as a cardiovascular nurse practitioner. * Experience with pacemakerICD monitoring OR wiliness to participate in dedicated training on pacemakerICD management throughout the first year of employment * High level of skill in placing IVs and administering IV medications when needed by the practice Preferred Qualifications * Associate of the ACC (AACC credential) * Experience supervising stress testing * Experience with dobutamine pump * Work experience in electrophysiology * Experience managing Medicare Advantage panel of patients with understanding of Best Practice in coordinated care environment in a value based relationship environment preferred. * Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage * Bilingual is a plus * Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators preferred Additional Information * Guaranteed base salary + semi-annual bonus * Excellent benefit package - health insurance effective on your first day of employment * CME AllowanceTime * Occurrence Based Malpractice Insurance * 401(k) with Employer Match * Life InsuranceDisability Job Requisition: * Paid Time OffHolidays * Minimal Call Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. #physiciancareers #nursepractitionercareers #LI-BC1 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 About us About CenterWell Senior Primary Care: CenterWell Senior Primary Care provides proactive, preventive care to seniors, including wellness visits, physical exams, chronic condition management, screenings, minor injury treatment and more.
