Benefits Analyst & Human Resources Generalist, Vora Ventures Vora Group is looking for a Human Resources Generalist specializing in Benefits Administration to join our growing human resources team. This role will split their time between backend administration and front-facing employee inquiries. Well versed in all things benefits and compliance, the successful candidate has worked in multi-state, fast-paced and collaborative environments and enjoys being a point of contact for colleagues at all levels. The ideal candidate brings benefits administration experience, a strong desire for proactivity and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:Assist in administering employee benefits programs, such as group health, FSAHSA, dental and vision, life insurance, and ancillary benefits.Process new hire enrollments in HRIS system and coordinate plan regulations.Manage disability and leave of absence programs with internal policies and external vendors: Paid Parental Leave, FMLA, state leave policies and all other types of leaves.Maintain internal records and tracking systems for leave of absence and new hires.Assist team members with benefits-related questions and determine need for escalation.Audit HRIS and vendor systems to ensure proper enrollments and billing, with a particular focus on Open Enrollment processing.Reconcile vendor reporting for status changes, employee alerts, and billing statements.Handle all qualifying life event status changes.Coordinate with Employee Relations for necessary severance and COBRA actions.Screen employees for eligibility changes such as dependent age-out, Medicare eligibility, etc.Ensures the HRIS is properly utilized by all HR function and partners for maximum efficiency, correct documentation, and compliance.Advises and supports the leadership of each Vora company and provides guidance to business unit managers on matters related to human resources.Provides day-to-day performance management guidance, business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning to Vora companies' business units (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Establishes procedures, employee benefits administration and company policy (handbook, documentation, procedures, etc.) to ensure all internal customers are assisted appropriately and in a timely manner.Participates in monthly meetings with respective Vora businesses' leaders and HR partners directly supporting those companies.Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR function and with HR business partners to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Owns implementation for Vora Companies.Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as neededrequired.Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.Performs other related duties as assigned. Education:A bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources, or equivalent experience preferred.SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred. Experience:3+ years of experience in benefits administration.5+ years' of human resource, HRIS or related experienceWorking knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.Ability to understand, evaluate and make judgment on proposals (RFPs). 3+ years' experience negotiating, implementing, and training on employee benefits programs required. Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.Experience with HRIS tool, Paylocity, and Applicant Tracking Software, Bullhorn, preferred. Physical Requirements:· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
